NAWA has contributed c10 Million to a Nutrition Workshop that will be conducted by health workers in Onyansana. The workshop attendees will represent 10 villages in the immediate area of Onyansana that have been identified as seriously in need of nutrition training by both education and village authorities. These attendees will then return to their villages and pass on what they have learned to others. In addition, the health workers who will facilitate the training will follow up with the attendees in each village twice over four weeks to ensure maximum retention of the information. The long term goal for this program is to assist in setting up breakfast/lunch programs at the village schools which will assist in better preparing the children for their day of education.
