NAWA strives to fund projects that benefit women and children. Here is a list of projects that we have supported.
Our applicants are reviewed in field visits like this one, where we funded the purchase of a machine needed to produce prosthesis.

In an effort to impact as many lives as possible, NAWA’s project team meets regularly to review applications for assistance from community groups all over Ghana.
Each project must meet the following guidelines:
- the project should primarily benefit women and children;
- it should have strong community support; and
- should eventually become self sustaining.
NAWA strongly supports projects stressing education and/or vocational education and health care. Click on our project profiles below to see how NAWA is making a difference in Ghana.
NAWA encourages projects that benefit the largest number of people, for instance, medical equipment or educational materials, rather than benefiting a few individuals.
Project Team members visit a potential project before funding to evaluate its viability and progress. These visits members direct and close contact with the community. The committee reports monthly to the general membership of NAWA, with input welcome from all. |
